Events in recent days within the World of Warcraft Emulation community have really made us take a step back and think. We aren't here to discuss any other servers or speak poorly of them.
Nevertheless, we have decided (and many of you have guessed) that it would be best for us to delay our release. Not because we can't provide a playable game, but because we want to provide more than a game that is just playable.
In order to achieve the quality that you, our community, deserves, we think it would be best to take a step back, take a good look at where we are and realign ourselves with where we need to be going. I want to make it very clear that we are by no means giving up. But we need to ensure that our content is up to the quality that we know that we can provide you.
We are not going to set a new release date just yet. We know that this will disappoint many of you, but we don't want to set a release date that will limit our ability to fix content to perfection. (However it will not be another year, we can assure you that, expect more likely a couple of months)
We will communicate with you all frequently and continue the closed beta (and hopefully open it up to more people soon) until we are certain that we are providing you with the best that we can deliver.
What else will change?
As mentioned, we'll be communicating more actively, and we'll be posting weekly updates of the server status. We'll also be posting more show-off video's on our Youtube channel again (quests, mechanics, core fixes.. etc)
On top of that, we have open beta planned as a possibility, and we're working actively on the remaining urgent bugs, and zone issues. (Worgen, etc.)
Thank you all for your continued support of WoWZealot.
